Giving Hunger The Blues" Block Party Rocks Sarasota

Thousands of people flocked onto Hillview Street in Sarasota on Sunday afternoon for the 16th Annual “Giving Hunger the Blues” Block Party. The focus of the event was to raise money to feed, nurture and protect the children of the community. In Sarasota County alone, one out of ten neighbors combat hunger every day and of those… 33% are children.

Giving Hunger The Blues - Sarasota Foodies

For Jill and myself, the upcoming 18th annual Giving Hunger the Blues on March 24th this year, is like Christmas in March. Only with more food, awesome live music from noon until 8 p.m., and a feel good street dance party held on Hillview Street in the always happening Southside Village with several thousand friends under what has typically been picture perfect skies and weather (fingers crossed as always).
